Net Zero Carbon: Ending Gas for Average Citizens.
The powers that be want to take away you ability to travel and more. Will Bartow participate and comply?
“Energy transition and climate change are inextricably linked, with its impact being felt in recent months. While a global energy transition is under way, further action is needed to reduce carbon emissions and mitigate the effects of climate change. Critical measures to accelerate energy transition include decoupling economic growth from energy consumption………….” World Economic Forum 2023 meeting agenda, Davos Switzerland.
It is a proudly stated fact that the globalists and their leftist toadies (e.g. Joe Biden et. al) want to end the use of gasoline for nearly everyone in society (except the elite of course). Trading on the ruse of “man-made” global warming, powerful forces are working together to ensure you can no longer have gasoline, natural gas or coal as sources of energy. There is a reason behind the massive effort to promote electric cars, even though they have no ability to replace the same function, range and convenience of cars using gasoline and diesel. The goal is to go “net-zero” on carbon production in many areas by 2030 and as early as 2050 in America.
The World Economic Forum, a very powerful conglomeration of globalist corporations, governments and well-financed activist groups, has made it quite clear that they seek the end of a carbon based- economy. They seek to “decouple economic growth from energy consumption” (see quote above). Now common sense tells us that without energy to create mobility (cars), electricity (for homes and businesses) and production (factories) there will be an obvious shrinking of the economy. That is actually the goal. The WEF and its insiders seriously proposed ending capitalism which is known to be the greatest generator of prosperity for average folks.
A great way to disable the middle class is to remove the most efficient means of energy creation: carbon-based fuels. Electric cars requires hours to charge and can’t be driven across the country in 1-3 days as a gas car can. Further, there is not enough lithium in the world to make enough batteries to replace gasoline cars. (Of course, getting rid of most cars, not replacing them, is the goal). Batteries wear out and expensive battery replacements will be needed. So electric cars just can’t compete with gasoline power cars and even Elon Musk, making Electric cars with Tesla, agrees.
Ending Car Ownership and Cheap, Efficient Energy

The WEF seeks also seeks an end of private car ownership. In fact, they don’t like ownership of anything as it turns out. “Welcome to the year 2030. Welcome to my city - or should I say, "our city." I don't own anything. I don't own a car. I don't own a house. I don't own any appliances or any clothes.” (Ida Auken, WEF, 2016 in Forbes). The EU has sought to end gasoline cars by 2035 as discussed here in the Bartow Freedom Coalition SubStack. The WEF has many goals to remove power from individuals and into the hands of the elite by 2030.
The White House is dutifully going along with the plan to eliminate carbon-based fuel. As Joe Biden has said: “Number one, no more subsidies for fossil fuel industry. No more drilling on federal lands. No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period, ends, number one.” (2020 Presidential debate). He has trumpeted his goal to remove millions of gas powered cars from the road.
Even though Biden made a 2024 political calculation to recently approve drilling in Alaska with the “Willow” project, he still seeks to end carbon based fuels. As he has said: “These steps will set America on a path of net zero emissions economy by no later than 2050” (white house virtual climate summit, 2021). In fact, he has bragged about how coal companies and the like won’t be able to afford to run their plants. Just like Obama said it would be “too expensive” to run a coal-burning plant. The Biden EPA is issuing rules that will cause many coal plants to shut down. According to the Institute for Energy Research proposed regulations would cost operation cost to go so high, the plant would be required to close. Part of the EPA plan is to pay plants to close! It is well known that wind and solar cannot replace coal or natural gas. Nuclear could, but the leftist don’t like that either.
Why does this matter in Bartow County Georgia?
Even Brian Kemp is participating in the effort to promote electric vehicles and Seeks to make Georgia the national leader in production of electric vehicle industry. There is a new Hyundai factory being built along 411 and those driving west of Cartersville, just outside town, can see the massive clearing of land to prepare for hyper-dense “workforce housing”. There are even reports coming in of attempts to take 165 acres along the Etowah through Eminent domain to create a sewage plant to service the area. (Thankfully, neighbor action stopped that). There is even a big solar panel factory going up in Bartow with Kemp pushing subsidies that way.
Bartow Commission and planning/zoning commission meeting frequently indicate that there is a goal to build “walkable communities”. That means stay close to home and don’t drive. This could easily turn into the “15-minute” community concept that is being rolled out in Oxford England. Citizens have been told they can’t leave their neighborhood zone on certain days without special permission from the government. Instead they are told they can “walk” or “cycle” to everything they need within 15 minutes. Yay!
The question for Bartow Citizens is we are going to be rolled over by this agenda? Will we be just one more domino in the Northward development of “Atlanta” and the transformation of Bartow into a Cobb County? Or, rather, will we draw a line in the sand and ensure that we are a wall and outpost for freedom. A red-line of counties that remains free while others submit to a command and control agenda?
