Late-Breaking News: Tax Relief VICTORY for Bartow!
11/4/2025: The day you vote to limit property tax hikes for Bartow and Cartersville Schools.
By David McKalip, M.D.
Tax relief is on the horizon! After the dastardly denial of tax-relief to the citizens of Bartow County and Cartersville by the local school boards, the House and Senate UNANIMOUSLY passed bills to help. SB 83 (Bartow Schools) and SB 77 (Cartersville Schools) will allow voters to vote AGAIN to stop the massive property tax hikes by the schools that are now routine. The law, if approved by voters, would prevent property taxes from increasing more than inflation.
People will need to get out and VOTE on Tuesday, 11/4/2025 to pass both of these. The only change in the approach appears to be that there will be a "five year sunset” so that the tax limitation would expire in 2030. Don’t worry, once people get the taste of tax relief, they will not tolerate that sunset and we can get these laws passed again.
There will be more details coming soon on these votes and action to win in Bartow County.
Call your legislators and THANK THEM for working to SB 83 and SB 77.
